About Me

I was born and raised in Culpeper, Virginia and reside in nearby Madison County with my husband and two sons. I'm part of the fellowship family at Mountain View Chapel and have served with both YoungLives and Release the Runners ministries in different capacities. I enjoy the beach, the mountains, camping with family and photography. (Fun fact: all the photos you see on this site and my book are my own!)

I was raised in church but never knew a personal relationship with the Lord. I always believed in Him, but after being plagued by anxiety and depression from a young age, I began filling the hole in my heart with everything but God. It wasn't until one of the hardest times in my life that God came down and invited me to try following Him. I did just that and a few short months later, I devoted myself to following Him wholeheartedly (or at least to try my best wholeheartedly). A lot of my faith journey you'll read about in this blog! My goal in sharing so much of my personal journey and God stories here is to encourage YOU to pursue God's heart and develop a more authentic relationship with Him. As you grow and abide in Christ, you'll have your own stories of faith... and I can't wait to hear them!
